COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — FC Dallas continued its strong run away from home Saturday night, defeating the Colorado Rapids for its third straight road victory while making a little club history along the way.
Dallas converted two penalty kicks in the same half for the first time in franchise history and leaned on a determined defensive effort to secure the result. The win also marked the club’s first triumph in Colorado since October 2014 and its first stretch of three consecutive road wins since 2005.
Forward Logan Farrington stayed in top form, netting his sixth goal of the season, while winger Santiago Moreno added his second score of the 2026 campaign to help Dallas continue its climb in the Western Conference standings.
Despite missing leading contributors Petar Musa and Deedson due to international duty, Dallas found enough composure and resilience to grind out the result under pressure. Colorado pushed numbers forward throughout the night, but Dallas repeatedly turned away dangerous chances in the box.
Head coach Eric Quill praised his squad’s mentality and defensive commitment after the match.
“We found a way, and these guys dug deep,” Quill said. “I’m really proud of their mentality to fight and scrap. The backline handled so many dangerous crosses tonight, and the guys stayed locked in defensively from start to finish.”
Defenders Sebastien Ibeagha and Shaq Moore, along with Sam Sarver and Ran Binyamin, played key roles in helping Dallas withstand Colorado’s late pressure. Nolan Norris also provided a spark off the bench in the closing stages.
The night added another milestone moment for the club, as it was also announced that the Sweden men’s national team will use FC Dallas Stadium in Frisco as its base camp during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Dallas now heads into the FIFA World Cup break before returning to league action on July 22 against the Portland Timbers. The matchup opens a demanding stretch of seven consecutive road matches for FC Dallas.
