SANDY, Utah — FC Dallas turned a wild seven-goal match into a dramatic road victory Wednesday night, holding off Real Salt Lake 4-3 on a late goal from Ran Binyamin.
Petar Musa led the way for Dallas, scoring twice to push his league-leading total to 16 goals. His first goal also put him in MLS history, making him just the fifth player to record at least 15 goals in each of his first three MLS seasons.
Musa joined an exclusive group that includes Josef Martínez, David Villa, Sebastian Giovinco and Raúl Díaz Arce.
Joaquín Valiente also found the net for Dallas, scoring his first MLS goal while adding two assists. Binyamin then delivered the decisive moment late, giving FC Dallas another road victory in a match that appeared headed toward a draw.
The result continued a strong stretch away from home for Dallas while adding another memorable chapter to Musa’s breakout season.
Musa’s brace also moved him into MLS’ top 10 for fastest players to reach 50 career regular-season goals.
