LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Dallas Renegades struggled to slow down a red-hot Louisville offense Saturday night, falling 37-23 to the Kings in a pivotal Week 9 matchup.
Louisville quarterback Chandler Rogers controlled the game from the opening drive, delivering one of his strongest performances of the season. Rogers accounted for three total touchdowns while leading the Kings to 457 yards of offense. He consistently stretched the field through the air and capitalized on Dallas defensive breakdowns, finishing with an impressive 149.4 quarterback rating.
The Kings also dominated on the ground, piling up a season-best 192 rushing yards and controlling the tempo for much of the contest. Dallas had difficulty containing Louisville’s balanced attack, especially during key third-down situations that extended drives and kept the Renegades defense on the field.
Despite the loss, the Renegades continued to battle offensively and managed to keep the game within reach entering the second half. However, Louisville answered every Dallas push with momentum-shifting plays that prevented any comeback attempt.
The defeat drops Dallas into a difficult position heading into the final week of the season. The Renegades will close out their schedule Friday night on the road against St. Louis in an 8 p.m. ET kickoff airing on FOX.
