ST. LOUIS — The Dallas Renegades ended their season on a high note Saturday, riding an efficient performance from quarterback Austin Reed and a disruptive defensive effort to secure a 20-16 victory over the St. Louis Battlehawks.

Reed delivered three touchdown passes while overcoming steady pressure from the Battlehawks’ front seven. The Dallas signal-caller completed 15 of 26 passes for 162 yards and added 14 rushing yards on seven carries. His three scoring throws proved to be the difference in a tightly contested matchup.

Wide receiver Emmanuel Butler provided a major spark for the Renegades offense, hauling in three receptions for 38 yards and two touchdowns. It marked his second multi-touchdown performance of the season. Tyler Vaughns also found the end zone, finishing with three catches for 34 yards while adding a 23-yard run that helped Dallas flip field position.

The Renegades defense turned in one of its strongest performances of the year, consistently disrupting St. Louis quarterback Luis Perez. Dallas recorded six sacks, with five different defenders contributing to the pressure. Defensive linemen DaMarcus Mitchell and Kevin Strong each registered two sacks to lead the charge.

The secondary also came up with timely plays. Cornerback Ajene Harris and linebacker Kalen DeLoach each intercepted Perez, helping Dallas protect its lead late in the game.

Perez finished 18-of-29 passing for 272 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Despite the loss, St. Louis generated explosive plays through its receiving corps. Steven McBride paced the Battlehawks with four catches for 79 yards, while Hakeem Butler added three receptions for 73 yards.

Defensively, St. Louis kept the pressure on throughout the afternoon. Neil Farrell led the team with seven tackles, including a sack and a tackle for loss. The Battlehawks defense totaled four sacks, six tackles for loss and forced a fumble, but Dallas capitalized on key opportunities to leave St. Louis with the season-ending victory.

The win allowed the Renegades to finish their campaign with momentum, powered by a balanced offensive attack and a defense that controlled the game’s biggest moments.
