FRISCO, Texas — A few towering home runs and plenty of friendly competition helped turn a summer night at the ballpark into a major win for North Texas charities as members of the Dallas Cowboys helped raise more than $126,000 during the 2026 Reliant Home Run Derby.
With fans packed in and teammates cheering from the sidelines, Cowboys players rotated through the batter’s box while every hit and long ball added to the donation total courtesy of Reliant Energy. By the end of the night, $80,000 had been generated for The Salvation Army of North Texas.
Tight end Jake Ferguson stole the spotlight with the top performance of the derby, blasting 22 home runs to earn the 2026 title. His showing accounted for $20,600 raised during the event.
Reliant also presented an additional $10,000 donation to Ferguson’s charity of choice, the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation.
The annual event gave Cowboys players a chance to showcase a different kind of swing while continuing the organization’s strong presence in community outreach efforts across North Texas.
