DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks will open the 2026-27 season on the road against Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets on Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m. CT.

It will be Dallas’ first road opener since the Mavericks opened away from home in four consecutive seasons from 2020-21 through 2023-24.

The Mavericks won’t stay on the road long. Dallas travels to Indiana on Oct. 23 to face Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers before returning home Oct. 24 to host Victor Wembanyama and the defending Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs.

The matchup with San Antonio marks the third straight season the Spurs have been Dallas’ home-opening opponent.

Dallas is scheduled for 21 nationally televised games this season — eight on NBC, six on ESPN, four on Prime, two on Peacock and one on ABC.

The Mavericks also begin NBA Cup Group Play at home against Houston on Oct. 30. Other group opponents include Utah, Denver and Phoenix.

The schedule features plenty of marquee matchups. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Oklahoma City visit Dallas twice, while Giannis Antetokounmpo, Cade Cunningham and LeBron James are among the stars scheduled to make one trip to American Airlines Center.

Dallas will face its toughest travel stretch in March, with a five-game Western Conference road trip from March 17-24 that includes games against Oklahoma City, San Antonio, the Lakers and Minnesota.

January will be the Mavericks’ busiest month with 17 games scheduled. Dallas also has 16 back-to-back sets throughout the season.

The 2026-27 campaign will be the Mavericks’ 47th season and their 26th at American Airlines Center.
