SEATTLE — The Dallas Cowboys came away with a 17-7 preseason victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday night, with rookie wide receiver Camden Brown providing the biggest plays of the night with two touchdown receptions.
The Cowboys also got an encouraging performance from Joe Milton III, who strengthened his case in the ongoing competition for Dallas’ No. 2 quarterback job behind Dak Prescott.
Milton opened the game efficiently, completing six of his first eight attempts while working against Seattle’s reserve secondary. He finished 12 of 15 for 107 yards and connected with Brown for one of Dallas’ touchdowns.
Sam Howell, who is competing with Milton for the backup role, also had a solid showing. Howell completed 8 of 12 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown to Brown.
The Cowboys will return to action Aug. 22 when they travel to Arizona for their next preseason matchup.
