OXNARD, Calif. — CeeDee Lamb welcomes the competitive edge that has emerged at Dallas Cowboys training camp, believing the daily battles between the offense and defense are helping prepare the team for the season.
“I embrace it. I love it,” Lamb said. “It’s good to see your defense come out with that type of energy, that type of fire. … For us as an offense, it leaves us no choice to either knock down or fight back.”
Lamb has developed strong chemistry with quarterback Dak Prescott early in camp, particularly on deep passes, and said those connections are becoming more consistent.
“That’ll never get old. Ever,” Lamb said. “I’m excited that we were able to do that more times than not and able to connect early on in camp.”
The All-Pro receiver is also looking forward to Dallas’ upcoming joint practices with the Los Angeles Rams after spending weeks lining up against familiar teammates.
“Being able to compete against somebody else,” Lamb said. “Tired of seeing my own guys who know our plays. They seen it for months now. I feel like we’ll see how we operate when somebody else is across the line of scrimmage.”
