Dallas Mavericks Defeat The Oklahoma City Thunder, 121-114

DALLAS, Texas — The Dallas Mavericks dominated the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-114. Offense was able to stay connected and communicated through the second half. The Mavs were also able to bring their own rain in 3’s, shooting almost 50% from the free throw line.

Luka Doncic led the Mavs with 38 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists. Tim Hardaway Jr and Spencer Dinwiddie both had 20 points and 7 rebounds.

Following the game Spencer Dinwiddie commented how well their defense worked, stating, “we got just enough stops.” Dinwiddie also earned his first double-double of the season. Luka Doncic also discussed what kept his team motivated after the first quarter due to a slow start, commenting, “ I just told my team to keep going, keep making shots.”

With the Mavs coming off a win they will now prepare for their second game of the week against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. The Cavs are 17-11 and are placed on the third spot in the Eastern Conference standings with 17 victories in 28 games this season. Looking at the Mavericks, they are placed eighth in the Western Conference with 14 wins in 27 matches. Both the teams have managed five wins and losses each in their last 10 NBA games.
