Mavericks Reward Naji Marshall With Contract Extension After Career Season

DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks have locked in one of their key contributors for the future, signing forward Naji Marshall to a contract extension following the most productive season of his NBA career.

Marshall, 28, is coming off a breakout 2025-26 campaign in which he averaged a career-best 15.2 points per game while providing the Mavericks with versatility on both ends of the floor. His ability to defend multiple positions, attack the basket and contribute as a secondary playmaker made him an important piece of Dallas’ rotation throughout the season.

Since arriving in Dallas, Marshall has carved out a larger role with his physical style of play and consistent production. His career year helped solidify his value as the Mavericks continued building around their core.

By reaching an extension with Marshall before he reached free agency, Dallas secures another experienced contributor who has become a reliable presence in the lineup. The agreement provides continuity for the Mavericks as they look to build on last season and remain among the Western Conference contenders.
