FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas has secured one of its veteran leaders for the foreseeable future, signing defender Shaq Moore to a new contract that will keep him with the club through the 2028 MLS season.

Moore, who serves as one of the club’s co-captains, has become a key piece of Dallas’ back line since joining the organization. His experience, versatility and leadership have made him an important presence both on the field and in the locker room.

Capable of playing multiple positions along the back line, Moore has provided stability with his defensive work while also contributing to the attack with his pace and ability to push forward from the flanks.

The new deal reinforces FC Dallas’ commitment to maintaining a veteran core as the club continues building for the future. Retaining Moore gives Dallas continuity in defense while preserving the leadership of a player who has earned the trust of teammates and coaches alike.

With the contract extension finalized, Moore is expected to remain a central figure for FC Dallas as the club pursues success over the next several seasons. The agreement keeps the veteran defender in North Texas through the 2028 campaign, providing stability to one of the team’s most experienced players.
