FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas delivered a dominant performance at Toyota Stadium, defeating the San Jose Earthquakes 3-0 to extend its home unbeaten streak to five matches and establish a new club record for goals in a single season.

Dallas reached 58 goals on the season, surpassing the previous franchise record of 55, set in 1997 and matched in 2014.

Forward Petar Musa led the attack with two goals, bringing his season total to 22. Santiago Moreno added his fourth goal of the campaign and contributed an assist on the opening goal, making a significant impact in the victory.

Head coach Eric Quill credited his team’s defensive intensity, physical play and movement in possession for controlling the match from the opening whistle.

Dallas consistently pressured San Jose’s players on the ball, winning individual battles and creating opportunities to attack when the Earthquakes were out of position. Quill praised the work of Osaze, Shaq and Ibeagha for helping the team regain possession and move the ball into dangerous areas.

The breakthrough came when Moreno played a pass through the defensive line to Bernie, who connected with Musa. The striker finished from the top of the box to put Dallas in front and set the tone for the remainder of the contest.

Quill said he was pleased with his team’s composure and attacking creativity, although he believed Dallas could have scored additional goals, particularly in the first half.

Moreno’s contribution was another bright spot. Quill praised the winger’s ability to beat defenders, his composure in front of goal and his willingness to make an impact off the bench.

The coach also highlighted Moreno’s positive attitude when he is not included in the starting lineup, noting that his professionalism and readiness have helped create opportunities to contribute.

With Musa continuing to find the net and the team establishing a new scoring benchmark, FC Dallas delivered a statement performance at home.

The 3-0 result extended Dallas’ unbeaten run at Toyota Stadium to five matches and gave the club another milestone to celebrate as it continues its MLS campaign.
