DALLAS — Dallas Trinity FC put together one of its most complete performances of the season, earning a victory over Fort Lauderdale United FC behind three goals, a dominant offensive showing and another clean sheet.
Dallas controlled the match from the opening minutes, finishing with 26 shots, including 10 on target, while limiting Fort Lauderdale to just two attempts. The home side also held a commanding 64% share of possession.
Seven Castain continued her productive season, scoring her fourth goal in the 71st minute. Kalea Eichenberger added her first goal of the campaign and the first of her professional career, while Juliet “LJ” Moore also found the net for the first time this season and in a Dallas Trinity uniform.
The night also marked a significant milestone for 15-year-old Kaiya Brewer, who made her professional debut and recorded the first professional assist of her career. At 15 years and 330 days old, Brewer became one of the youngest players to register a professional assist in U.S. women’s professional soccer and the Gainbridge Super League.
Defender Sydney Cheesman picked up her second assist of the season.
Goalkeeper Neeku Purcell made one save to secure her second clean sheet of the season. Dallas used 15 players in the match and continued to show its depth as the regular season approaches its final stretch.
Head coach Lee Nguyen said the performance reflected the team’s commitment on both sides of the ball, particularly with four matches remaining.
“I saw a team that was together tonight from minute one to 90,” Nguyen said. “In possession and out of possession, I thought they did really well to put a complete game together.”
Purcell credited the defensive unit for its work in limiting Fort Lauderdale’s opportunities, noting that the team has placed an emphasis on protecting possession and avoiding costly mistakes.
Castain, meanwhile, said she remains focused on contributing to the team’s success as she competes among the league’s top scorers.
Dallas has now won both meetings against Fort Lauderdale this season and holds a 5-1-3 all-time record against the club.
The result gives Trinity another boost heading into the final four matches of the season.
