Offensive Line Competition Heats Up as Veteran Makes Strong Impression at TCU Fall Camp

FORT WORTH, Texas — One of the biggest developments during TCU’s fall camp has come from a veteran offensive lineman whose offseason transformation is turning heads.

Offensive line coach A.J. Ricker said the lineman has reshaped his body by dropping 21 pounds during the summer, and the results have been noticeable on the practice field. Along with the physical change, Ricker praised the player’s maturity and determined approach entering camp.

The improvement has also expanded his opportunities. During spring practice, the lineman primarily worked at left guard, but TCU is now giving him a chance to compete at right tackle as the Horned Frogs continue evaluating their best starting five.

Ricker said the coaching staff is confident the veteran has the athleticism and versatility to make the transition and compete for the job.

With several positions still unsettled, the battle up front remains one of the key storylines to watch as TCU continues preparations for the 2026 season.
