DALLAS, Texas — A new chapter officially began for Azzi Fudd on Friday, as the Dallas Wings introduced the highly anticipated guard in a setting that blended excitement with expectation.
Fudd appeared alongside Executive Vice President and General Manager Curt Miller and head coach Jose Fernandez, while CEO and managing partner Greg Bibb opened the event with remarks about the organization’s vision and direction.
The moment marked Fudd’s first opportunity to connect with the franchise in an official capacity — and she made it clear her mindset is rooted in growth and team success.
“I just got to meet some of my amazing teammates, but I can’t wait to get on the floor with them. Learn from them. Learn how to play with them. Learn from the coaches. And I just see how I can contribute and make this a winning organization,” Fudd said.
Dallas is counting on Fudd’s skillset to add another dimension to a roster looking to take a step forward this season. But for the rookie, the focus isn’t on immediate stardom — it’s on development.
As she prepares for her first season in the WNBA, Fudd emphasized a willingness to evolve her game at every level.
“I feel like I have a lot of room to grow in every area. So I’m excited to, like I said, learn from the coaches, learn style of play, learn how to play with my new teammates.”
Her approach reflects a player intent on building a foundation rather than rushing the process — something the Wings organization values as it continues shaping its identity.
With training camp approaching, Fudd’s next step will be turning that mindset into on-court chemistry, as Dallas looks to translate potential into results.
