JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Dallas Trinity FC controlled possession but couldn’t find the finishing touch Sunday, falling 2-0 to Sporting JAX on the road.
Dallas held 58% of the possession and completed 86% of its passes but managed only six shots, with none on target. Sporting JAX finished with 14 shots, including six on goal.
The loss drops Dallas to 0-1 against Sporting JAX this season and 1-3 all-time.
Forward Kalea Eichenberger made her club debut, entering as a substitute in the 83rd minute. Fourteen players saw action for Dallas.
Coach Lee Nguyen said the final score didn’t tell the full story, particularly after a strong second half.
“We controlled the game, created some chances,” Nguyen said. “We just have to be a bit more solid in the final third.”
