ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Wings are headed back to the playoffs.
Dallas clinched its first postseason berth since 2023 with a convincing 96-78 win over the Portland Fire on Tuesday night before a sold-out crowd at College Park Center.
The victory improved Dallas to 23-16 and set a franchise record for regular-season wins. Portland dropped to 15-23 and was eliminated from playoff contention. The Wings also won the season series 2-1.
Paige Bueckers led Dallas with 22 points and 11 assists, recording her third points-assists double-double of the season. Jessica Shepard added 21 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
Awak Kuier posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds while matching her career high with three steals and adding five blocks. Her 54 blocks this season tie Liz Cambage for the most in Wings history.
Arike Ogunbowale scored 17 points, while Alanna Smith added 10 as all five Dallas starters reached double figures.
Dallas shot 55.1% from the field and 45.8% from 3-point range while forcing 11 steals and scoring 23 points off Portland turnovers.
The Wings close out their pre-FIBA World Cup schedule Sunday against the Connecticut Sun at College Park Center. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT.
