SMU Host Cincinnati Tonight

DALLAS, Texas — SMU to Host Cincinnati Thursday evening. SMU begins March 20-7 overall, with 4 conference losses. The Mustangs have had an outstanding year so far and remain undefeated at home, with only 2 home games left this season. SMU comes off a tough loss to nationally ranked Houston, who leads the American Athletic Conference. The Mustangs are 2nd in the AAC heading into the final week of regular season games.

The Bearcats won the 1st match-up between the teams in early January, beating the Mustangs by 17 points in Cincinnati. UC hasn’t been consistent since, sitting at 9-8 in league play and 17-13 overall. The Bearcats head to Dallas on a 4-game losing streak, falling most recently to Houston on Tuesday. Tonight’s game will be the Bearcats last regular season game.

SMU sits 1 game in front of Memphis, so beating Cincinnati and Tulane to close regular season play will be crucial to earning 2nd in the AAC Regular Season Championship. The conference tournament will be March 10th-13th in Fort Worth, TX at Dickies Arena.

The Mustangs look to win their 15th straight game in Moody Coliseum and even the series with the Bearcats during tonight’s 6 pm CT tip-off. Live action will be available on ESPN2/ESPNU.
