HOUSTON — CeeDee Lamb delivered one of the biggest performances of his career Sunday, catching 17 passes for 189 yards and scoring the game-winning touchdown as the Cowboys rallied past the Texans 34-30.
Dak Prescott said Lamb’s production was a reflection of his preparation, mentality and growing chemistry with the quarterback.
“He’s been great,” Prescott said. “Just throughout the whole season, just his demeanor, his mindset, his mentality. Communication throughout each and every play.”
Prescott admitted he didn’t realize Lamb had caught 17 passes until after the game, crediting his receiver for consistently finding ways to get open against Houston’s coverage.
“He’s an impressive player,” Prescott said. “We’re blessed to have him.”
The quarterback also described Lamb as a brother and said their communication has continued to grow throughout their time together.
“I think that’s the difference in where we are right now than where we’ve been in the past,” Prescott said.
Lamb’s biggest catch came with 40 seconds remaining, when Prescott found him for the go-ahead touchdown and completed Dallas’ comeback.
Now, with Tampa Bay waiting Thursday night, Prescott knows the Cowboys have little time to celebrate.
“We’ve got to turn the page and get ready for Thursday,” he said.
