DENTON — Jaheim White scored four touchdowns in the first half, and North Texas overwhelmed Houston Christian 63-14 on Saturday for its largest margin of victory since 2025.
White rushed for 133 yards on 11 carries and scored four times, all before halftime. His 47-yard touchdown run was UNT’s longest play from scrimmage this season.
Tayven Jackson completed 16 of 18 passes for 270 yards and a touchdown while completing 88.9% of his attempts, the second-highest completion percentage in program history with at least 10 attempts.
North Texas piled up 648 total yards, the seventh-highest single-game total in school history, while scoring its most points since a 77-point performance against Nicholls State in 2014.
The Mean Green also received touchdown passes from three different quarterbacks. Chris Jimmerson Jr. and Chaston Ditta each threw a touchdown, while Ditta also added a rushing score.
Justin Stevenson caught five passes for 69 yards and a touchdown, while Max Reese added three catches for 70 yards and a score.
Defensively, UNT held Houston Christian to 222 total yards and shut out the Huskies in the second half. Jaden Allen added a 34-yard interception return for a touchdown, his first career interception.
Zakye Barker recorded 1½ sacks, while Davion Rhodes added a sack, two tackles for loss and a forced fumble.
The victory gives UNT a 2-0 advantage in the all-time series. The teams previously met in 2020, when the Mean Green won 57-31.
North Texas also recorded its largest win since beating Lamar 51-0 on Aug. 30, 2025.
