ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers’ four-game winning streak came to an end Sunday as the Baltimore Orioles powered their way to a 10-5 victory at Globe Life Field, preventing a three-game series sweep.

Baltimore broke the game open early, scoring seven runs over the first four innings while matching a season high with four home runs. Despite the loss, Texas claimed the six-game season series, 4-2, and remained two games ahead of the Orioles in the race for the final American League Wild Card spot.

Jordan Montgomery made his 2026 debut for Texas, allowing three earned runs over four innings in relief. It marked the veteran left-hander’s first major league appearance since Sept. 22, 2024, after missing all of the 2025 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery.

Brandon Nimmo provided the Rangers’ biggest offensive highlight with a three-run homer in the third inning. The outfielder has homered three times in his last seven games and is batting .414 with three home runs through eight games in August.

Pete Alonso led Baltimore’s offense with two home runs and four RBIs, finishing 3-for-3 with two walks. Colton Cowser and Tyler O’Neill also homered as the Orioles snapped a three-game losing streak.

Texas received a bright spot from rookie Cam Cauley, who recorded the first multi-hit game of his major league career, while Jonah Bride collected a single in his Rangers debut.

The Rangers will look to regroup as they continue their push for an American League Wild Card berth.
