Wings Cruise Past Sun, Improve to 19-11

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Wings delivered a strong all-around performance Saturday night, defeating the Connecticut Sun 83-63 before a sold-out crowd at College Park Center.

Jessica Shepard and Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with 15 points each. Shepard added a team-high nine rebounds, while Ogunbowale shot an efficient 7-for-9 from the field and finished with five rebounds and five assists. Rookie Azzi Fudd chipped in 12 points, knocking down 4 of 5 from 3-point range.

Dallas shot 47.8% from the floor and held Connecticut to 34.3%, while controlling the paint (46-24), the rebounding battle (38-31) and bench scoring (32-12). The Wings improved to 4-0 this season when holding opponents under 70 points.

Diamond Miller scored a game-high 22 points for the Sun, who dropped to 7-23.

The Wings (19-11) travel to face the Washington Mystics on Wednesday before returning home later this month for their final regular-season meeting with Connecticut.
