FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas has ensured one of its rising young attacking talents remains a key part of the club’s future, announcing Friday that forward Logan Farrington has signed a contract extension through the 2027-28 season.
The new agreement strengthens Dallas’ long-term commitment to the 24-year-old, who has emerged as one of the club’s most productive offensive players during the 2026 MLS campaign. The deal also includes club options that could keep Farrington with FC Dallas beyond the 2028 season.
Farrington has enjoyed a breakout year, appearing in 14 league matches while posting career highs with six goals and a team-best four assists. His strong start earned him a spot in the MLS Team of the Matchweek Starting XI after a standout performance in the Texas Derby against the Houston Dynamo, where he recorded two goals and an assist. He later added another goal in a road victory over D.C. United, marking the first time in his professional career he scored in consecutive matches.
Since being selected third overall in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft, the Racine, Wisconsin, native has steadily developed into one of the league’s top young forwards. Across all competitions with FC Dallas, Farrington has totaled 15 goals and 16 assists in 75 appearances, the highest combined goal contribution among players selected in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft class.
Before establishing himself with the first team, Farrington helped North Texas SC capture the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Cup, scoring in the championship match. His rookie campaign also featured multiple games in which he came off the bench to record both a goal and an assist, placing him among a select group of players in MLS history to accomplish the feat in a single season.
By extending Farrington’s contract, FC Dallas continues to build around a young core that has fueled the club’s push during the 2026 season. With his pace, versatility and improving finishing ability, Farrington has become an increasingly important piece of Dallas’ attack and is expected to remain a central figure as the club pursues postseason success.
