FRISCO, Texas — The NFL officially revealed Monday that the Dallas Cowboys will begin the 2026 regular season on the road against the New York Giants in a prime-time NFC East showdown at MetLife Stadium.

Dallas and New York are scheduled to kick off on Sunday, Sept. 13, with the game airing nationally on NBC at 7:20 p.m. CT.

The matchup gives the Cowboys an early divisional test to open the season, while also placing one of the league’s most recognizable rivalries in the national spotlight during Week 1. The meeting marks another chapter in the long-running NFC East battle between the franchises, with Dallas looking to set the tone immediately to start the new year.

The announcement is one of the first major schedule reveals ahead of the NFL’s full 2026 slate release later this week.
