WASHINGTON — Dallas Trinity FC came away with a valuable point on the road Friday night, battling to a 1-1 draw against DC Power FC in a match that carried major playoff implications.

The result keeps Dallas in fourth place in the Gainbridge Super League standings — the final postseason spot — with 34 points (9-10-7). DC remains just behind in fifth with 33 points, while Spokane continues to lurk within striking distance.

Despite being outshot 21-6 and conceding the majority of possession, Dallas found a way to stay organized defensively and capitalize on a key second-half moment.

Forward Bethany Bos delivered that moment in the 52nd minute.

Applying pressure high up the pitch, Bos forced a defensive mistake and quickly turned it into her second goal of the season, finishing from close range to level the match. The goal capped a momentum shift sparked by halftime adjustments that injected energy into the Dallas attack.

Goalkeeper Tyler McCamey played a critical role in preserving the result, recording four saves against a relentless DC offense. The performance pushed her season total to 40 saves and helped Dallas withstand sustained pressure, particularly late in the match.

Sixteen players saw the field for Dallas, reflecting a rotation that emphasized fresh legs in a physically demanding contest.

Head coach Nathan Thackeray said the focus remains on belief and execution down the stretch.

“We want to keep believing in what we’re building and fight for what’s in front of us,” Thackeray said. “This group has an opportunity to put itself in a strong position.”

Inside the locker room, the intensity of the playoff race is clearly resonating.

“There’s a different energy right now,” defender Sydney Cheesman said. “Everyone understands what’s at stake, and we’re pushing each other to meet that moment.”

Dallas and DC split their season series, with Trinity FC now holding a 2-2-4 mark all-time against the club.
