INDIANAPOLIS — The Dallas Wings opened their 2026 preseason with a strong showing Friday night, pulling away for a 95-80 victory over the Indiana Fever.
Dallas established control early and never let up, using a balanced offensive effort and consistent defensive pressure to create separation as the game wore on. What started as a competitive matchup gradually tilted in the Wings’ favor, with execution on both ends proving the difference.
The win moves Dallas to 1-0 in preseason play, while Indiana drops to 1-1.
While exhibition results carry little weight in the standings, the performance offered an encouraging glimpse of the Wings’ cohesion and depth, particularly in a road environment to open the slate.
Dallas will close out its preseason schedule at home, hosting the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday, May 3 at the Moody Center. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT at the home arena of the University of Texas at Austin basketball programs.
