FRISCO, Texas — After beginning his NFL career in Dallas, wide receiver Jalen Tolbert is headed to Miami.

The Miami Dolphins have reached an agreement with the former Dallas Cowboys receiver, giving Tolbert a fresh opportunity after several seasons developing in Dallas’ offense.

Tolbert was selected by the Cowboys in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of South Alabama. Known for his downfield speed and ability to stretch defenses, he gradually carved out a role in Dallas’ receiving rotation while gaining experience in the Cowboys’ passing attack.

Though his role varied during his time with the team, Tolbert provided depth at the position and showed flashes of the big-play ability that made him a standout during his college career.

Now the 25-year-old receiver will look to turn that experience into a larger role in Miami as the Dolphins continue adding speed and depth to their offense heading into the upcoming season.
