FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas continued its strong defensive form in Leagues Cup play Sunday, edging C.D. Guadalajara 1-0 behind a second-half strike from Logan Farrington.
Farrington broke the scoreless deadlock in the 73rd minute, delivering the lone goal of the match as Dallas secured consecutive shutout victories during Phase One of the tournament.
Goalkeeper Jonathan Sirois anchored another disciplined defensive effort, recording his second clean sheet of the 2026 Leagues Cup. The FC Dallas back line limited Chivas’ opportunities throughout the night, allowing the home side to preserve the narrow advantage until the final whistle.
The result gives Dallas momentum heading into its final Phase One fixture, where it will face Toluca FC on Aug. 12 with an opportunity to build on its unbeaten defensive stretch.
FC Dallas has now posted back-to-back 1-0 victories in Leagues Cup competition, combining timely finishing with organized defending to continue its push toward the knockout stage.
