Wings Roll Past Storm for Third Straight Win

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Wings continued their hot start Monday night, defeating the Seattle Storm 79-56 at College Park Center in their first Commissioner’s Cup game of the season.

Dallas improved to 6-3, its best start through nine games since moving to North Texas in 2016, while extending its winning streak to three games.

Aziaha James led the Wings with a season-high 18 points off the bench. Paige Bueckers added 10 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, while Arike Ogunbowale, Maddy Siegrist, Jessica Shepard, and Azzi Fudd each scored nine.

The Wings dominated the glass with a season-best 48 rebounds and held Seattle to a season-low 56 points. Dallas also controlled second-chance points (25-6) and points in the paint (36-24).

Flau’jae Johnson paced the Storm with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Natisha Hiedeman added 11 points.

Dallas will look for its fourth straight win Friday night against the Los Angeles Sparks.
