DENVER — The Texas Rangers rallied late Wednesday night, defeating the Colorado Rockies 5-4 after Josh Jung delivered a go-ahead RBI single in the ninth inning at Coors Field.
Texas battled back after trailing late, tying the game before Jung’s clutch hit completed the comeback. The Rangers bullpen held Colorado in check down the stretch, giving the offense a chance to respond in the final innings.
The win capped another gritty comeback effort for Texas as the club continued to find production late in games.
Up next, the Rangers close out the series Thursday with Jack Leiter (1-4, 4.35 ERA) scheduled to face Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland (1-5, 7.22 ERA).
