FRISCO, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Renegades wrapped up their home schedule with a tough result, falling 47–25 to the Louisville Kings at Toyota Stadium on Sunday. The loss drops Dallas to 3–2 on the season, placing them third in the league standings as the regular season pushes forward.

Dallas showed flashes offensively but struggled to keep pace with Louisville’s high-powered attack. Quarterback Austin Reed completed 14 of 28 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown, facing steady pressure throughout the afternoon.

Running back Ellis Merriweather turned in one of the most versatile performances of the day, compiling 188 all-purpose yards. He accounted for 55 yards on the ground, added 33 receiving yards, and made a significant impact on special teams with 100 return yards.

Tight end Curtis Hodges provided a spark in the passing game, hauling in two catches for 88 yards, including a 63-yard touchdown that briefly shifted momentum in Dallas’ favor. Wide receiver Emmanuel Butler also found the end zone, finishing with two receptions for 35 yards.

Drake Stoops led the Renegades in receptions with four catches for 47 yards, while Greg Ward contributed in multiple roles. Ward recorded one reception for five yards, added 10 rushing yards on two carries, and even took snaps at quarterback, completing six of seven passes with a touchdown.

Defensively, linebacker Willie Taylor III paced the pass rush with two sacks, while defensive backs Ajene Harris and Tra Fluellen each totaled six tackles and a pass breakup.

Despite the loss, Dallas remains in a strong position in the standings with postseason implications still within reach. The Renegades now turn their focus to closing out the regular season on the road, aiming to regain momentum heading into the playoffs.
