Balanced Attack Powers SMU Past Murray State, 102-91

DALLAS, Texas — SMU continued its perfect start under head coach Andy Enfield, improving to 3-0 on the season with a 102-91 win over Murray State at Moody Coliseum. The victory marks Enfield’s 27th win at SMU and the program’s ninth non-conference home victory in its last ten games.

The Mustangs reached the century mark for the first time this season, showing offensive balance and intensity on both ends of the floor. SMU dominated the glass 42-31, including a season-best +11 rebound margin, and scored 20 fast-break points while forcing 17 turnovers that led to 21 points.

The Mustangs jumped out early with an 11-0 run and kept control throughout, later extending their lead with a 16-5 burst to open the second half. The win marked the sixth 100-point outing under Enfield, who joins elite company in program history for most games hitting triple digits.

SMU remains undefeated when four or more players score in double figures this season — a sign that the Mustangs’ depth and balance could make them a dangerous team as the season unfolds.
