ATLANTA, GA — FC Dallas hits the road this weekend, set to face Atlanta United on Saturday, April 5 at 6:30 p.m. inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Riding back-to-back wins for the first time this season, Dallas is starting to find its rhythm under new head coach Eric Quill. After a gritty 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake and a comeback victory over Sporting Kansas City, FCD is building momentum—and confidence.
Saturday’s matchup also presents a new opportunity for 20-year-old Nolan Norris. The Homegrown defender made his season debut last weekend and stepped up in a big way. With Marco Farfan sidelined following surgery, Norris now has a shot to lock down the left back role moving forward.
Atlanta, meanwhile, has had a rollercoaster start under head coach Ronny Deila. Despite some early inconsistency, they’re fresh off a wild 4-3 win over NYCFC. Offensively, they’ve got firepower—led by Emmanuel Latte Lath, who tops MLS with five goals—but defensively, they’ve struggled, conceding 11 goals in six matches.
With both teams showing signs of life in attack, Saturday’s clash could turn into a goal-filled affair.
