TCU Returns To The Court After Snow Storm Hits Texas Postponing Their Last Two Games

FORT WORTH, TX — TCU (11-8) is back in Schollmaier Arena tonight to host Kansas State (5-18) after the Texas snow storm postponed their last two games. This is the second time this season these two teams have gone head to head. TCU won the first matchup 67-60.

The Horned Frogs can’t seem to get it together this season, they are coming off a 70-55 loss to No. 12 Texas dipping to 4-6 in the Big 12 conference.

Junior Guard, RJ Nembhard is the leading scorer for TCU’s offense. He has scored 20 points in seven games this season. He averages 16.9 points per game and 4.7 rebounds. Alongside Nembhard, Miles is TCU’s top three-point shooter. The Freshman point guard shoots 40 percent from beyond the arc and averages 14.6 points per game. Both offensive weapons for TCU are helped under the basket by Junior Forward, Kevin Samuel. He has four double-doubles on the year and leads the team with 8.5 rebounds per game.

Kansas State is having a devastating season to say the least. They are 5-18 and have lost their last 13 games. In 10 of the 13 losses the Wildcats have scored 62 points or less in every matchup. Their offense is definitely lacking and leans on one player, Nijel Pack. The freshman guard recently scored 22 points against Texas and averages 12.3 points per game. The rest of Kansas State’s offense shoots a lot of threes but don’t make much of them.

TCU will have to push them to shoot from beyond the arc because that is where the Wildcats struggle the most. They will also have to crash the boards and Samuel will have to eliminate their second chance opportunities.

The Horned Frogs will have to come aggressive on defense and produce more than what they have been on offense. They need to work as a team on the offensive end and not leave it all up to Nembhard.

The game will be at 4:00 p.m.
