HOUSTON — CeeDee Lamb made his return count.
Lamb caught a career-high 17 passes for 189 yards as the Dallas Cowboys rallied past the Houston Texans 34-30 on Sunday.
After a sluggish first half, the Cowboys offense came out with a different mindset after halftime.
“We knew we had to put our foot on the pedal,” Lamb said.
Lamb repeatedly delivered on third down and helped Dallas sustain drives, but the numbers were secondary to the win.
“I wasn’t even thinking about any of that throughout the game,” Lamb said. “The end goal for me was to score and walk off and feel victorious.”
The game also marked Lamb’s first appearance in Houston, where he had family in attendance. The Louisiana native said the moment was especially meaningful.
“It was good to see my family here,” Lamb said.
Lamb also backed Dak Prescott after the quarterback helped lead the Cowboys through another late-game situation.
“I got his back,” Lamb said. “I’m one of his stronger soldiers.”
The performance added another milestone to Lamb’s growing Cowboys legacy, but he was already looking ahead.
“I’m definitely happy to be in this position,” Lamb said. “I’m happy for the opportunity, and I’m looking forward to making more records.”
