HOUSTON — The Dallas Cowboys erased a 10-point halftime deficit Sunday and stunned the Houston Texans 34-30, with CeeDee Lamb’s touchdown catch with 40 seconds remaining completing a dramatic comeback.
Dallas trailed 16-6 at halftime before its offense found its rhythm after the break. Dak Prescott finished 32 of 45 for 335 yards and a touchdown, leading an 11-play, 74-yard winning drive in the final minutes.
Lamb was the centerpiece of the comeback. He set a career high with 17 receptions for 189 yards, including the 12-yard touchdown that put Dallas ahead for good. His performance also moved him past Drew Pearson for fourth on the Cowboys’ all-time receiving-yardage list.
Javonte Williams provided the other major offensive spark, rushing for three touchdowns, all in the second half. His third score, a 2-yard run, gave Dallas its first lead at 27-23 with 11:17 remaining.
Houston answered with a touchdown drive of its own, taking a 30-27 lead with just over two minutes left. But Prescott and the Cowboys responded with their final scoring march, converting a fourth down before Prescott found Lamb for the game-winning score.
The Texans had one final opportunity, but C.J. Stroud’s desperation pass fell incomplete.
Stroud threw for 347 yards and two touchdowns, while Nico Collins returned from a two-game absence and caught seven passes for 118 yards and two scores.
Dallas improved to 2-2 with the victory, while Houston fell to 0-4. The Cowboys return home looking to build on the momentum from a second-half comeback that kept them alive in a wild finish.
