DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks have added another young cornerstone, acquiring former No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher from the Atlanta Hawks in a three-team trade involving the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Dallas sent rookie guard Ryan Nembhard to Atlanta and a 2027 second-round pick (via Chicago) to Oklahoma City, while also receiving a top-55 protected 2027 second-round pick from the Hawks.
The 21-year-old French forward averaged 11.1 points and 3.7 rebounds over his first two NBA seasons with Atlanta. Risacher earned NBA All-Rookie First Team honors in 2024-25 after averaging 12.6 points and 3.6 rebounds, highlighted by a career-high 38-point performance against Brooklyn.
Before entering the NBA, Risacher starred for JL Bourg in France and was named the 2024 EuroCup Rising Star. He also represented France at the 2025 EuroBasket.
Nembhard heads to Atlanta after averaging 6.6 points and 5.3 assists in 60 games as a rookie during the 2025-26 season.
