LAS VEGAS — The Dallas Wings couldn’t recover from a slow start Thursday night, falling 99-84 to the Las Vegas Aces at Michelob ULTRA Arena.
Paige Bueckers led Dallas with 25 points, six assists and three steals, while Jessica Shepard recorded 22 points and a game-high 14 rebounds for her 11th double-double of the season. The loss dropped the Wings to 11-7, while the Aces improved to 13-5.
Dallas struggled from beyond the arc, making just 2 of 21 three-point attempts, and committed 13 turnovers that led to 20 Las Vegas points. Despite shooting 48.6 percent from the field and outscoring the Aces 52-40 in the paint, the Wings couldn’t overcome the early deficit.
A’ja Wilson paced Las Vegas with a game-high 32 points. Dallas will return home Sunday to host the Minnesota Lynx at College Park Center.
