Miller has now scored 20+ points in each of the first three games. SMU had five players score 8+ points, including B.J. Edwards, who achieved a career-high 17 points, with 7 rebounds and 5 steals, tying his previous career best. Freshman center Samet Yiğitoğlu made a solid debut, adding 13 points and 4 rebounds.
SMU controlled key aspects of the game, including second-chance points (16-6) and points off turnovers (19-12). Defensively, the Mustangs showed strength, with 9 steals, contributing to their early 3-0 record under Head Coach Andy Enfield.
SMU also continued their trend of dominant runs, with a 9-0 surge early in the second half to establish a 53-41 lead.
