FRISCO, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys (1-2) head to Houston Sunday looking to rebound from a heartbreaking 34-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Dallas will face a Texans team still searching for its first win at 0-3. Despite their record, Houston has plenty of talent on both sides of the ball and presents another physical challenge for the Cowboys.
Dak Prescott and the Dallas offense will have to deal with a Houston pass rush led by Will Anderson Jr. Protecting Prescott and continuing the progress made in the running game will be critical.
On defense, the Cowboys face quarterback C.J. Stroud, who can make plays from the pocket and extend drives when given time. Dallas will also have to account for Nico Collins if the Houston receiver is cleared to return.
For the Cowboys, the formula is straightforward: run the football, protect Prescott, pressure Stroud and limit explosive plays.
With injuries continuing to test Dallas’ depth, execution and discipline could be just as important as talent when the Cowboys take the field in Houston.
