INDIANAPOLIS — The Dallas Wings battled Indiana into the fourth quarter before the Fever pulled away for a 98-87 victory Friday night.
The game was tied at 66 with 9:45 remaining before Indiana closed on a 32-21 run. Dallas falls to 20-15, while Indiana improves to 22-12 and ties the season series at 1-1.
Paige Bueckers led Dallas with 29 points, six rebounds and six assists, scoring 17 points in the second half. Arike Ogunbowale added 20 points, while Odyssey Sims had 11 points and a season-high three 3-pointers.
Awak Kuier finished with eight points, six rebounds, four assists and three blocks. Her three blocks moved her into a tie with Teaira McCowan for the Wings’ career record with 103.
Caitlin Clark led Indiana with 29 points. Kelsey Mitchell scored 23 and Aliyah Boston added 16.
Dallas returns home Aug. 20 to host Indiana at American Airlines Center in the teams’ final regular-season meeting.
The Wings first close their road trip Monday against the Golden State Valkyries in San Francisco. Tipoff is set for 9 p.m. CT.
