DALLAS — Paige Bueckers scored 17 points, but the Dallas Wings fell 94-76 to the Golden State Valkyries on Friday night at American Airlines Center.
Aziaha James added 13 points in her first start after Azzi Fudd was scratched before tipoff with right knee soreness, while Alanna Smith finished with 11 points and six rebounds. Dallas dropped to 19-13, while Golden State improved to 22-9.
The Valkyries knocked down 12 3-pointers and held the Wings to just eight assists, Dallas’ lowest total since 2019. The Wings shot 33.9% from the field despite attempting a season-high 38 free throws, their most in a game since 2022.
Veronica Burton scored 22 points and Gabby Williams added 19 to lead Golden State, which also held advantages in points in the paint and fast-break scoring.
Dallas wraps up a stretch of six games in 12 days on Sunday when it visits the Minnesota Lynx before facing the Valkyries again on Aug. 17 in San Francisco.
