ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Dallas Wings rookie guard Azzi Fudd will showcase one of the league’s premier shooting strokes on one of the WNBA’s biggest stages after being selected to compete in the 2026 State Farm WNBA 3-Point Contest during All-Star Weekend in Chicago.
Fudd is the only rookie in this year’s six-player field, earning the invitation after an impressive first professional season in which she has quickly established herself as one of the WNBA’s top perimeter threats. She leads all rookies in made 3-pointers and ranks among the league leaders in both long-range accuracy and total makes.
The former UConn standout will compete against Marina Mabrey (Toronto Tempo), Rhyne Howard (Atlanta Dream), Bridget Carleton (Portland Fire), Natisha Hiedeman (Seattle Storm) and Janelle Salaün (Golden State Valkyries). The event is scheduled for Friday night as part of WNBA All-Star festivities.
Fudd’s invitation adds another milestone to an impressive rookie campaign since being selected first overall by Dallas in the 2026 WNBA Draft. Her smooth shooting touch, which made her one of college basketball’s most dangerous scorers at UConn, has translated seamlessly to the professional level and helped make her one of the league’s rising stars.
