BROOKLYN, NY Jessica Shepard recorded her third triple-double of the season as the Dallas Wings defeated the New York Liberty 88-77 on Wednesday night at Barclays Center, extending their winning streak to three games.
Dallas improved to 14-8, the best 22-game start in franchise history, after rallying from a seven-point second-quarter deficit. The Wings outscored New York 70-52 over the remainder of the game to take control.
Shepard finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, matching her career high in scoring while moving into a tie for second in WNBA history with four career regular-season triple-doubles.
Awak Kuier posted her first WNBA double-double with 10 points, a career-high 12 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks. Paige Bueckers added 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists, while Azzi Fudd chipped in 12 points.
Dallas shot 46.1% from the field and held the Liberty to 40% shooting, including just 5-of-26 from 3-point range. The Wings also won the rebounding battle 38-34 and finished with 29 assists on 35 made baskets.
Breanna Stewart led New York with 29 points, while Jonquel Jones added 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Dallas closes its four-game road trip Friday against the Toronto Tempo in Montreal.
