DALLAS, TEXAS — The Dallas Stars have brought back forward Joel Kiviranta, signing the veteran winger to a one-year, $1 million contract.
Kiviranta, 30, returns to Dallas after spending the last three seasons with the Colorado Avalanche. He appeared in 51 games during the 2025-26 season, totaling three goals and six assists, while adding five playoff appearances.
Originally signed by Dallas as an undrafted free agent in 2019, Kiviranta is best remembered for his Game 7 overtime hat trick against Colorado during the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs that helped send the Stars to the Western Conference Final.
His return adds experienced forward depth as Dallas continues building its roster for the 2026-27 season.
