ORLANDO, Fla. — The Dallas Renegades came up short again Friday night, falling 31-24 to the Orlando Storm in a game that slipped away late after several missed opportunities on both sides of the ball.

Orlando quarterback Jack Plummer controlled the pace throughout the night, completing 24 of 36 passes for 238 yards while also making an impact with his legs. Plummer rushed for 70 yards and added two scores on the ground, helping the Storm pull away in key moments.

Running back Jashuan Corbin added balance to Orlando’s offense with 36 rushing yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. He also contributed in the passing game with three receptions for 25 yards.

Receiver Chris Rowland proved to be Plummer’s favorite target, hauling in nine catches for 91 yards as Orlando consistently moved the chains during critical drives.

Defensively, the Storm got strong performances from linebacker Darien Butler and defensive tackle Isaiah Mack, who each finished with six tackles. Orlando sealed the win late when linebacker Deion Jennings stepped in front of a pass for the game-clinching interception.

Dallas quarterback Austin Reed showed flashes despite the loss, finishing 12-of-23 for 134 yards with three touchdown passes and one interception. Reed also added 27 rushing yards on six carries.

The Renegades found success on the ground behind Ellis Merriweather, who rushed for 76 yards on 12 attempts and provided one of the offense’s few consistent sparks.

Wide receiver Emmanuel Butler turned in one of his best performances of the season, catching three passes for 21 yards and a career-high two touchdowns. Tight end Seth Green also delivered a key scoring play, finishing with 55 receiving yards and a touchdown on two catches.

Defensively, cornerback Ajene Harris stood out for Dallas, leading the team with seven tackles, including six solo stops. Harris also added a tackle for loss and a pass breakup while frequently helping contain Orlando’s passing attack.

The loss extends Dallas’ recent struggles as the Renegades continue searching for answers heading deeper into the season.
