Wings Hold Off Fever Behind Ogunbowale, Bueckers

INDIANAPOLIS — The Dallas Wings opened the 2026 season with a hard-fought 107-104 road win over the Indiana Fever on Saturday in front of a sold-out crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The victory gave new head coach Jose Fernandez his first win with Dallas, as the Wings improved to 3-1 in season openers since 2023.

Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with 22 points and five assists in her return after missing the end of last season with injury. She shot 8-for-15 from the field and hit three 3-pointers.

Paige Bueckers added 20 points, four assists and three rebounds in her sophomore season debut, while eclipsing 700 career points in the first half. Odyssey Sims chipped in 20 points in her first regular-season game back with Dallas since 2024.

Dallas closed the game with timely baskets and steady execution late to secure the season-opening victory.
