FORT WORTH, TX- The TCU Men’s basketball team had a slow start to their season opener Monday night against the Arkansas Pine-Bluff.

The frogs seemed to be more shaken up then they expected with the absence of senior guard Damion Baugh.

Arkansas kept the lead over TCU until Mike Miles came in with the 3 point clutch jump shot defeating Arkansas by 1 point in the last fifty-one seconds of the game.

Head Coach Jaime Dixon said that they did not play the right way. He emphasized that rebounding looked like a struggle for the frogs and they would be working on it leading up to tonight’s game.

“We fought down the stretch. We found a way to win” said Dixon “This is not the team we are going to be come January. We have work to do.”

Lamar University is coming in 1-0 as they got a 2 point win over the University of St.Thomas Celts Monday night.

TCU will attempt to go 2-0 for the ninth-straight season at the Schollmaier Arena. Tip-off is at 7PM.
