Mavs Win Three Straight As They Defeat The Warriors 122-113

DALLAS, TX – The Dallas Mavericks (38-25) were back in Dallas tonight to take on the Golden State Warriors (43-20) yet again. It was just a week ago that the Mavs came back from a 21-point deficit and gave Golden State the work on their own court.

Today Dallas won nine of their last 11 games and the Warriors lost yet again in a 122-113 battle in American Airlines Center.

The First quarter was all Dallas as Doncic scored 10 points in the last 30 seconds of the quarter to not only give him 19 points for the quarter but his team an 11-point lead going into the second half.

The Western Conference player of the month (Luka) got to rest for the first six minutes of the second quarter but his teammates did not let up. The Mavs took a 51-36 lead with eight minutes remaining in the quarter. Golden State tried to come back but Dallas was lighting it up from beyond the arc making nine three-pointers in the first half.

Dallas went into the locker room up 68-54.

The third quarter was all Dallas yet again. They were making it rain from beyond the arc and Golden State was not stopping them. Luka Doncic continued to do his thing as he had 35 points entering the fourth quarter.

Luka wasn’t the only one putting in work tonight, all five starters scored in double-figures and whatever they had was contagious because the entire team shot well from the floor shooting 51 percent.

The Fourth got underway and Dallas thought they had it in the bag. The Mavs stopped playing defense and the Warriors came back from a 10-point deficit and went on a 6-0 run to tie the game at 104 with six minutes remaining in regulation.

Dallas decided to come back to the game and finish off the Warriors 122-113. Dallas has won three of the four games against the Golden State.

The Mavs finished the night with 17 made three-pointers at 43 percent from beyond the arc tonight and the starting five combined for 100 of the 120 points tonight with all scoring in high double-figures.

They were led by Luka Doncic with 41 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists. That’s Luka’s sixth 40 point game this season.

Dorian Finney-Smith added 18 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Spencer Dinwiddie added 17 points, one rebound, and seven assists.

Dallas will stay at home and host the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday at 4 PM in American Airlines center.
