ST. LOUIS, Missouri — FC Dallas refused to go quietly Saturday night, rallying from a two-goal deficit to secure a 3-3 draw against St. Louis CITY SC.
The result extended Dallas’ run of resilience during a demanding stretch away from home, with the club finding a way to leave St. Louis with a point despite not playing its best soccer.
Logan Farrington scored his seventh goal of the season, while defenders Shaq Moore and Sebastien Ibeagha each found the net for the first time this season. Midfielder Joaqúin Valiente added another assist, giving him a team-high nine on the year.
Dallas trailed 3-1 before fighting back to level the match late.
Head coach Eric Quill acknowledged the performance was far from perfect but praised his team’s mentality to keep pushing.
“We weren’t at our best tonight,” Quill said. “But what is clear every day of the week with my group is that we have resilience, we have belief in each other, and we have a mentality that we never lay down.”
Quill said the circumstances made the comeback even more meaningful after last week’s result.
“It was 3-1 after what happened last week, but our guys are fighters,” he said. “I’m really proud of that about them.”
The draw gives FC Dallas another point to take from a difficult road stretch as the club prepares to return home.
Dallas will open the new East Side at Toyota Stadium on Sept. 5, when it hosts Sporting Kansas City.
